2025 NIPES Scholarship For Nigerian Undergraduate Students
The Nigerian Institution of Professional Engineers and Scientists (NIPES) is excited to announce its N1,000,000 Scholarship Program aimed at supporting aspiring engineers and scientists. We are dedicated to nurturing talent and promoting inclusivity in the fields of engineering and science worldwide.
Successful applicants will be expected to actively participate in NIPES events and mentorship programs. This scholarship is a one-time award for the academic year 2024/2025.
Non-members selected for the scholarship will also receive a complimentary one-year NIPES student membership.
Benefits of the NIPES Engineering and Science Scholarship:
- Total Scholarship Amount: N1,000,000
- Amount per Recipient: N200,000
Requirements for the NIPES Engineering and Science Scholarship:
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited higher institution.
- Must be studying courses related to science or engineering.
- Open to students in 100-level and above.
- Mandatory: Applicants must complete at least one free NIPES online course and detail the skills they have gained in their personal statement.
Priority Consideration:
- NIPES student members will be given priority during the selection process. Non-members are encouraged to join NIPES to enhance their chances.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be evaluated based on:
- NIPES student membership status.
- The quality and content of the personal statement.
- Demonstrated passion for engineering or science.
- Completion of a NIPES course and explanation of learned skills.
- Alignment with NIPES’s values and mission.
Timeline:
- Application Opens: October 15, 2024
- Application Deadline: January 31, 2025
- Final Selection: February 10, 2025
How to Apply:
Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the National Institute of Professional Engineers and Scientists (NIPES) website at nipes.org. The application process is divided into 3 stages:
- Register on the NIPES website as a student member (for non-members).
- Complete a free NIPES online course of your choice.
- Submit your personal statement (500-750 words) explaining the skills you gained from the course and how they apply to your academic or career goals. Ensure to provide proof of enrollment and your student ID, along with your NIPES membership number (if applicable).
